Performance Marketing Manager
Build and scale Meta-led campaigns, solve real performance challenges, and shape how the function grows in a high-autonomy, high-impact role.
Performance Marketing Manager (Meta-led Growth)
Sydney (Hybrid: 3 days in office — Wed/Thu/Fri) | Full-time
The role
We’re hiring a hands-on Performance Marketing Manager to own and grow our client's paid acquisition across multiple markets, in a high-scrutiny, policy-sensitive environment. This is a role for someone who can move fast, think clearly under pressure, and keep campaigns live and compliant even when platforms shift, accounts get restricted, or rules change.
The channel mix is Meta-heavy (~70%), supported by Google (~20%) plus selective tests across direct-buy and other platforms.
In Q2, you’ll focus on performance delivery and stabilising growth. From Q3, you’ll have the autonomy to help shape how the function scales (including how we use/structure offshore support).
What you’ll do
Paid media execution and optimisation (core)
Own day-to-day performance across Meta Ads and Google Ads (plus selective channel tests).
Build, launch, and scale campaigns from the ground up — not just “optimise mature accounts.”
Run structured experimentation: audiences, creatives, landing pages, offers, messaging, bidding.
Diagnose issues fast (performance drops, tracking gaps, policy flags) and implement fixes with clear logging and rationale.
Maintain strong budget control and pacing; communicate changes and outcomes clearly.
Compliance and platform navigation (core)
Operate comfortably in a regulated / policy-sensitive environment: ensure correct disclaimers, product representation, and compliant messaging.
Stay on top of Meta/Google policy changes and account health.
Find practical, compliant pathways to keep campaigns running when restrictions hit (without cutting corners).
Analytics and decision-making (core)
Use performance data to drive decisions: CAC/CPA, funnel conversion, cohort quality, creative insights.
Own clean tracking hygiene (UTMs, naming conventions, change logs, basic attribution alignment).
Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., BI/dev) to resolve data discrepancies and improve reporting reliability.
Team collaboration and scale (evolving)
Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to align performance goals, priorities, and launch readiness.
As the function scales, contribute to team structure (including potential offshore support) and help uplift operational standards.
What we’re looking for
Must-haves
Strong Meta Ads experience (this is the centre of gravity) and solid fundamentals in Google Ads.
Proven ability to launch and run campaigns end-to-end (strategy → build → execute → optimise → report).
Comfortable working in high-compliance / high-scrutiny environments (you ask the right questions before going live).
High-agency problem solver: fast, curious, solution-first, and calm when things break.
Clear communicator: low-friction working style, practical updates, and strong documentation habits.
Nice-to-haves
Experience in fintech/forex/CFD/crypto or similarly regulated sectors.
Tools like GA4 / GTM / AppsFlyer (or equivalent tracking/analytics platforms).
Direct buys / native / programmatic testing experience (e.g., Trustpilot placements, content networks, etc.).
Experience working with offshore teammates or distributed teams.
Note on experience level: We’re open on years. If you’ve got strong fundamentals, clear evidence of impact, and learn fast, we want to meet you.
What this role offers
Real ownership of performance outcomes with room to move fast and make improvements.
A complex environment that rewards strong judgement, curiosity, and execution.
Autonomy to shape how performance scales over time (including resourcing decisions from Q3 onward).
A Sydney-based team environment with meaningful in-office collaboration (Wed–Fri).
What “good” looks like in the first 30–60 days
Campaigns are stable, changes are logged, budget pacing is controlled.
Compliance basics are locked: correct disclaimers, correct product messaging, fewer avoidable flags.
Clear weekly cadence: performance readout, tests launched, learnings captured, next actions defined.
