Role Overview
As the New Business & Partnerships Manager with a leading creative and eCommerce agency, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving growth through new business acquisition, strategic partnerships, and account expansion. This role sits across both the Delivery and Commercial teams, ensuring that client needs are met through proactive outbound sales, upselling, and cross-functional collaboration.
You’ll lead external sales initiatives — identifying qualified leads, building targeted outreach campaigns, and nurturing opportunities to expand the agency’s client base. Alongside this, you’ll work closely with Client Success Managers to uncover growth opportunities within existing accounts and support ongoing client success.
Your focus will span outbound sales, internal sales strategy, partnership development, and selected strategic projects — ensuring seamless delivery, strong client relationships, and consistent revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to drive new business development through outbound initiatives, including lead generation, targeted outreach, and support for marketing campaigns.
- Build and strengthen relationships with technology partners to drive referrals and new business through co-marketing, joint events, and consistent engagement.
- Partner with Client Success Managers to identify and execute upsell, cross-sell, and account development opportunities within existing clients.
- Support smooth client handovers and ensure a seamless transition between sales and delivery teams.
- Develop compelling sales and marketing materials, including decks, case studies, and whitepapers, to support business development.
- Assist in planning and executing lead-generation events such as webinars, workshops, and co-hosted partner activities.
- Maintain oversight of the agency’s sales pipeline and CRM, ensuring visibility for the executive team.
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of client proposals, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive strategic growth, commercial optimisation, and process improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development — ideally within a digital or eCommerce agency.
- Proven success in identifying, nurturing, and converting new business opportunities across digital services.
- Experience growing client accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and strategic relationship management.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms, with Shopify experience highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with technology partners, platforms, and third-party vendors.
- Solid project coordination and commercial tracking experience.
- Skilled in managing sales pipelines and maintaining CRM accuracy.
- Proficient in proposal creation and solution development informed by client insights and performance data.
- Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and ability to align services with client business goals.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- An interest or background in digital design, UX, or CRO principles will be an advantage.
